The New Dunedin Hospital is currently the largest construction project, and largest single phase hospital project ever attempted in new Zealand.

CCM Architects and Destravis have been part of the design consortium with personnel from Johnstaff and Jacobs, tasked with developing the Strategic Brief, Functional Design Brief, and Technical Brief for the new hospital, as well as Site Masterplanning for the complex inner city site.

Currently estimated at $1.5 billion project cost, with an area of approximately 100,000 sq.m, it contains nearly all tertiary hospital functions for the SDHB.

The project has involved Better Business Case inputs through IBC and the first phase of DBC, and is intended to move to Concept Design in the near future.

CCM and Destravis role in the project is due to complete with the issue of the Preliminary Site
masterplan in early November 2018.
